Custom Onesie

Recently a lady contacted me through Etsy and asked if I could make a onesie to match a pair of shoes that she was giving as a gift. The shoes to start out with were totally adorable, which made this even more fun. I love to do things like this, something in me loves the challenge. So, here is the link to the for the shoes...they are all cute and very reasonable.

and there is the onesie...she also wanted the little girls name on it as well. What a thoughtful, unique gift!

Very Shabby Baby!

Love this set! I think it turned out so shabby chic. Sometimes it is so hard for me not to be so matchy, matchy! However, I love the outcome when I make myself stop! This set is a custom order, and she wanted a patchworky quilt in pinks and a personalized bib and burp with onesie to match. I hope she likes the way it turned out. In my opinion, THIS is the perfect baby gift! HA!

Give a Hoot!

I love this fabric with the cute little owls on it. It is a super soft flannel and a comfy lap tee. I think this is great for a fall baby boy or girl. Can be made up to 12 months as well. Perfect for an outfit, or pajamas. Love it!! Lucky you, I just listed it on my Etsy!

Back from a busy break...

Sharp Dressed Man: $8 (man not included)

I finished with the 10 day long Covered Bridge Festival , finished all the orders the following week and have been very slow moving since then. I have some orders I am working on right now, but definitely not at my normal rate. It's been very hard to get motivated and back into the swing of things! Gotta do it though....holiday shows are approaching...

Here is one of the newest from the Paisley Moon. These are so adorable, completely reversible and great for instant success on any little man. I call them sharp dressed mans and they are all $8 each. These snappy ties are great for that holiday photo, or any occasion where a little class is needed. Maddix wore his for his Halloween outfit as well...Afred E. Newman. He knocked his tooth out last year, so it fit him just perfect.

Recently I came across a blog from a mother. An amazing mother. A mother named Nie Nie or Stephanie Nielson. Her blog is no more than of her life as a mother, and it is the most inspiring blog I've yet to read. On August 16th, Nie and her husband were in a terrible private plane crash that claimed the life of the pilot and left them critically burned. Stephanie over 80% of her body. They are the parents of 4 adorable children. Please follow the buttons on the left of my blog to read more about this truly amazing story. On September 23 and 24, Etsy will be hosting a Nie Sale. ALL proceeds will go to Stephanie and Christian Nielson and their family. These are the items that I chose to donate. If you are interested in them, I encourage you to purchase them through this event. It is really a great cause!! Thank you so much...thank you!

p.s. as always my photos leave alot to be desired.

also...cjane is her sister with updates on the Nielson's and Nie Nie's blog is http://www.nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/

the shop where the sale will be on the 23rd and 24th is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6167643. I'm sure the amount of talent that will be featured, will be awesome. Thanks again!

Lavender Blue Diddle Diddle

This skirt is one of a kind, made up completely of vintage linens. A beautiful vintage hanky scallops along the top in the front and the back. Sophie is a size 5 and it fits her perfectly. It would look great with leggings under it for the fall weather also!

One of a kind skirts

This skirt is made up of Amy Butler fabric and vintage linen pieces. Sophie is a size 5 and it fits her, but I would say it is more a 3/4. I love the orange polka dots with the robin egg blue vintage hanky. It has an elastic waist band for easy dressing. I started with a vintage pillowcase underneath, so it is a completely lined skirt making it great for upcoming cool weather.

Stationary Sets

A friend of mine had a bridal shower to attend this weekend and wanted to make something special for the bride to be. We created this set, and I thought it turned out too cute not to post. I had so much fun making it too!! Riley is the bride to be's new last name...obviously. I used my favorite stamp on some. It says "my favorite person in town" I would love to make more, I think I'm going to make some for the upcoming festivals and shows.

Monogrammed gift sets

Monogramming is huge right now for boys or girls. This is a set custom created for a customer that has a new little one on her gift list. These would also be great done in a unisex fabric with the family's last initial on it, for those of us that can wait to find out the sex! The set includes an embellished onesie, a chenille burpcloth and an embellished chenille bib. The letters are available in black or white and hold up to multiple washings.

Putting it all out on the line...

Okay, so I'm trying to work through my stash of fabric and make things from what I have. I started yesterday, and this is what I've got so far. Basically these are one of a kind since most of it was just odds and ends, but some I have more of. I love how they turned out and the great thing I love about these is that now they wear leggings under about anything so it makes them any season! These are sizes 3 and 5, and are listed in my Etsy store. Right now I am making them in sizes 3-8. As you can see I had to pay the model one! HA! Good help doesn't come cheap!

Starting out...

I thought I would never do this, but here goes. I've been thinking about doing this for awhile now, but like many things...thats as far as it went. If it goes further than this post, I dont know, but this far was coming a long way! I plan on posting pictures of my many creations and plans for more. I thought it would give me a goal to work towards, as far as sewing and posting every...well...lets just say more often!
